Join us at the Minnesota Discovery Center for the next installment of our quarterly event series, The Research Center Presents. On Thursday, February 26, we’re screening Blue-Collar Battleground: The Iron Range Labor Story, a 30-minute documentary exploring Iron Range labor history from the early 1890s through World War II.
After the screening, stay for a Q&A conversation with Allyse Freeman, MDC Museum & Research Center Director, and Gary Kaunonen, MDC Education, Program, and Recreation Manager.
✨ Fun fact: This documentary was produced right here at MDC with support from a grant from the Range Association of Municipalities and Schools (RAMS). Thank you to RAMS for helping bring this story to life!
Event Schedule:
🏛️ 4:00pm — Free museum admission begins
🍸 5:00pm — Cash bar opens and appetizers available
🎬 6:00pm — Documentary screening
💬 6:30pm — Q&A with MDC staff
🌙 8:00pm — The night concludes
Come for the history, stay for the conversation—and feel free to bring a friend.
