After a brief postponement due to air quality issues, it’s time for everyone’s favorite Family Discovery Day… Fossils X3! 🦴🦖🐚 On Thursday, August 20, take a gigantic step back in time to when dinosaurs roamed what would become the Iron Range. We’ll have activity stations set up throughout the Pavilion exploring all-things Cretaceous-era, including actual fossils, VR headset simulations, and sensory activities for tiny paleontologists.

An exciting update! We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah’s Serpentarium as a special guest for this Family Discovery Day! Come see Sarah and her animal crew from 4-7pm. Enjoy some hands-on meet-and-greets with her critters, lizards, snakes, turtles, and other dino descendants. 🐍🐢🦎

As if we aren’t busy enough on Thursday, August 20 this event also coincides with an interpretive kayaking tour and a Bands, Brews, & BBQ session featuring Rich Mattson & Germaine Gemberling! Get your paddle on, refuel at the Food Court, and enjoy live music by local artists between fossil exploration! 🎵 Rumor has it that dino nuggets are on the menu… 🍗🍟🥤
