Join us for a free day of family fun as we celebrate International Archaeology Day at the Minnesota Discovery Center, featuring a FREE screening of Dora and the Lost City of Gold and hands-on archaeology activities for all ages!
From 11:00amβ2:00pm, enjoy archaeology activity stations in Taconite Square designed for explorers of all ages:
π₯½ Experience the science of archaeology through VR technology
πͺ£ Sift for buried artifacts at a dig station
π½οΈ Piece together broken plates like a real archaeologist
πͺ¨ Learn about flintknapping
πΉ Try your hand at throwing an atlatl at a (cutout) bison
Then, from 2:00-3:45pm, head to our theater for a FREE screening of Dora and the Lost City of Gold! Follow Dora and her friends on an adventure to save her parents and uncover the mystery of a lost Incan civilization.
