It’s time for everyone’s favorite Family Discovery Day… Fossils X3! 🦴🦖🐚 On Thursday, July 16, take a gigantic step back in time to when dinosaurs roamed what would become the Iron Range. We’ll have activity stations set up throughout Taconite Square exploring all-things Cretaceous-era, including actual fossils, VR headset simulations, and sensory activities for tiny paleontologists.
Speaking of tiny paleontologists, this year’s Family Discovery Day: Fossils X3 is extra special because it’s held in conjunction with the last day of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Dino Discovery! Summer Day Camp. Show your support for our community’s young learners by listening attentively as they educate the public about all the things they learned at camp. 👦🏾🧒🏼👧🏻🎉
As if we aren’t busy enough on Thursday, July 16, this event also coincides with a Bands, Brews, & BBQ session featuring Cowboy Angel Blue. Hear live music by local artists as you explore fossils! 🎵
The Food Court will be serving yummy food, so you can grab dinner while you’re here! 🍗🍟🥤
