Bands, Brews, & BBQ: Steve Solkela

MDC is the place to be on Thursday, July 30th, because Steve Solkela (yes, that Steve Solkela) is this week’s featured Bands, Brews, & BBQ performer! 🎉

Oh, boy. Does Steve even need an introduction? We’re pretty sure that everyone on the Iron Range has at some point witnessed this “overpopulated” one-man band careening down the street on his unicycle while warbling comically outlandish lyrics about northern Minnesota life and plugging away at his accordion. Just come. Behold him. You’ll love it.

Admission is FREE—to the music venue, as well as the Museum, the Research Center, the Playground, and the Play Studio—every Thursday evening from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

The Evening’s Schedule:
🚶🏾‍➡️ 4:00pm ~ Free admission starts
🌭 4:30pm ~ The Food Court opens
🪗 5:30pm ~ Steve starts playing
👏 7:30pm ~ Steve takes a bow
🌙 8:00pm ~ Things wrap up, we say goodbye (until next time!)

Come grab a pulled pork sandwich, tasty onion rings, and an ice-cold soda, and hang out with your friends while supporting a local musician! 🎵☀️
