Family Discovery Day: Maamawai Giwii-Kikendamin (Together We Learn)

📅 Saturday, November 14
⏰ 10am–4pm
💸 FREE FOR ALL
Join us and our friends from Bois Forte Heritage Center & Cultural Museum for Family Discovery Day: Maamawai Giwii-Kikendamin (Together We Learn) as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month through art, culture, food, music, and community.
This FREE, family-friendly event is an opportunity to learn together through stories, shared experiences, and cultural traditions while supporting Indigenous artists, educators, and community members. Throughout the day, guests can participate in hands-on printmaking, enjoy an Ojibwe-inspired meal, and experience a vibrant cultural showcase featuring drumming, singing, and dancing. 🥁🎶
Join Fire in the Village, a collective of artists and cultural organizers, for a printmaking pop-up! Participants are invited to make and take a fabric patch featuring images of Aandeg (Crow), the Fire in the Village emblem, and other artwork created by Anishinaabe artist and director Annie Humphrey (Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe).
