DESCRIPTION:🗓️ Dates: May 31\, June 29\, July 29\, and August 27\n⏰ Times: 9:00pm (each time)\n📍 Place: Redhead MTB Park (meet at the trailhead!)\n⭐ Age Range: 16 years old +\n💵 Cost: FREE\n❗ Important: Bring your own headlamp! \nRedhead MTB Park is beautiful in the daytime\, but have you ever experienced it at night? Embark on a Headlamp Hike with Redhead Redfeet Lead Guide Kari Kilen and explore this northland treasure after the sun goes down. Illuminated only by the light of the moon and your headlamp\, the trails become even more enchanting after dark—nocturnal fauna emerges from the shadows\, and the Glen Mine Pit Lake glistens in a whole new way. 🚶🏻‍➡️🌕 \nImportant note: To participate in MDC-sponsored Redhead Redfeet hikes\, you must sign a waiver! Waivers and pens will be handed out and collected at the trailhead. Also\, there’s no need to register; just show up at the trailhead! \nAnother important note: Participants must wear their headlamps and stay with the group at all times during this hike. Headlamps are not provided; please bring your own. Given it will be dark\, some past hiking experience is recommended. Safety first! \nRemember: Bring your headlamp! \nBy the way\, don’t forget to pick up your “Hiking Passport” at MDC’s front desk before you head out! Use your Hiking Passport to track your hiked miles throughout the summer and earn stickers along the way. The more you hike\, the greater your season-end rewards will be. All hikes in Redhead MTB Park can be logged for miles\, and MDC-sponsored hikes count for double miles. 📝🎁 \nTo learn more about the MDC Hiking Passport Program\, contact Gary Kaunonen (MDC’s Education\, Program\, & Recreation Manager)\, or swing by the front desk and chat with a member of staff. \n📱 Gary’s phone number: (218) 969-9049\n📧 Gary’s email: garyk@mndiscoverycenter.org
