DESCRIPTION:Thursday nights are for Bands\, Brews\, & BBQ! Join us on Thursday\, August 20th\, to enjoy the dulcet tunes and good vibes of Rich & Germaine! 😊 \nYou know them. You love them. Rich Mattson and Germaine Gemberling have been writing\, recording\, and performing together since 2010. They both have played in and toured with a variety of groups\, but they love playing local gigs together as a partner-partner duo. Their latest “cosmic rock” album (Wake Up Songs) came out in March—listen to an interview about it here! \nAdmission is FREE—to the music venue\, as well as the Museum\, the Research Center\, the Playground\, and the Play Studio—every Thursday evening from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. \nThe Evening’s Schedule:\n🆓 4:00pm ~ Free admission starts\n🌮 4:30pm ~ The Food Court opens\n🎼 5:30pm ~ Rich & Germaine start playing\n👏 7:30pm ~ Rich & Germaine take their bows\n🙋🏾‍♂️ 8:00pm ~ Things wrap up\, we say goodbye (until next time!) \nCome grab your chicken tenders\, some creamy mac and cheese\, and a lemonade\, and hang out with your friends while supporting your local musicians! 🎵☀️

DESCRIPTION:🗓️ Date: June 4 (5pm)\, July 11 (3pm)\, August 20 (5pm)\n📍 Place: The Glen Mine Pit Lake (meet at MDC’s front desk)\n⭐ Age Range: 13 years old +\n#️⃣ Capacity: 8 participants\n💵 Cost: $35 with a rental\, $20 without a rental\n❗ 10% discount for MDC Members!\n✒️ Registration: Call to register! (218) 254-7959 \nGet your paddle on! Join MDC’s Recreation Staff as they guide you into the watery world of the Glen Mine Pit Lake. Learn about the geology (rock science) and limnology (lake science) of a man-made waterbody fashioned from a retired\, reclaimed mine pit. 🚣🏽‍♀️ \nThis interpretive recreational tour is 1.5 hours long and includes a 30-minute basic safety and skills presentation before you head out. Visitors can bring their own gear or rent a vessel\, paddle\, and life jacket from MDC. Life jacket-usage is non-optional. Safety first! 🦺 \nThis serene outing is appropriate for beginner kayakers who want a gentle introduction to the sport\, as well as experienced kayakers who want a low-key\, educational experience.
